Flavored Pretzels
Flavored Pretzels
This isn't one of my Mom's treasured recipes but they are delicious and I wanted to share this with my readers.  My father and his wife leave Michigan to go to Texas for the winter months, so we have a farewell party at their house a few weeks before they leave.  While at the family gathering I sampled these little tasty treats.  I say I sampled only because my husband had already eaten most of the contents of the basket they were in.    I have no idea who first made these or even the name of them but the recipe is very easy and can be whipped up in a matter of no time.  If any reader out their can clue me on the proper name I will change the title.  My husband and I thought this would adapt well for Chex party mix.  If you make your own Chex party mix why not try using this recipe.  I am going to try it before Christmas because it is a family traditon to make Nuts and Bolts (Chex Mix).
1   Bag any shaped pretzel you prefer.

1/3 cup Orville Redenbachers Popping & Topping

1   Envelope Ranch Dressing Mix

2   Teaspoons Garlic Powder

Mix the oil, ranch and garlic in a small bowl mix well.  Using a large plastic bag place the pretzels and pour the oil mixture into the bag and seal.   Make sure to move it around so that all the ingredients are distributed well.

Continue to move the pretzels around every 15 minutes or so.   Keep doing this until all the oil has been absorbed.  Serve after 3 to 4 hours for fullest flavor.
